Visualizing Queer Immigrant Phoenix

Vota! This 2016 election-related drag Selena music video parody visualizes LGBTQ immigrants like nothing else! Mapping Phoenix Immigrants

Use the New York Times resource, Mapping America: Every City, Every City Block to map international migrants in Phoenix neighborhoods. (2005-2009 data)

U.S. Immigration Trends

Migration Policy Institute's Data Hub provides dynamic and interactive charts help to track changing immigration patterns and characteristics of the immigrant population in the US through time. "By placing immigration to the United States in its broader historic context, the characteristics of today's migration flows and the immigrant communities they establish can be better understood."

Although the number of immigrants in the US population has increased a lot (as has the entire US pop), the current percentage of immigrants in the population is not yet as high as it was at the turn of the last century.
